About Dr Sumedha Verma

Good sleep is for everybody.

Hello! I'm Sumedha – a clinical psychologist and sleep researcher with over a decade of experience in healthcare. I believe good sleep is the foundation of our lives, and my vision is a better-rested, more connected world.

During my PhD and postdoctoral training, I undertook training in behavioural sleep medicine and developed digital programs for parents, carers and older people with insomnia, as well as helping healthcare professionals to help their patients sleep better.

Having seen the power of these programs, I founded Deep Sleep Health to provide people, health professionals and workplaces access to evidence-based sleep programs that make sleep simple, not complicated.

Currently, I am an adjunct research fellow at Monash University, advisor for the Sleep Health Foundation, and serve on the research committee of the Australasian Sleep Association. I regularly lecture psychology students and write articles on transforming how we think about rest, wellbeing and recovery.
